# Separators | Website Manual

**Separators**

The Separator module draws a horizontal line between pieces of content.

## Before you finish

**Not seeing your change?**

Your browser may be showing a copy it saved earlier. Open the page in a private window, or press Ctrl + F5 to reload it fresh (Cmd + Shift + R on a Mac).

If your site has a caching plugin, clear its cache too. There is usually a button for it in the bar along the top of the dashboard. Still the old version after a few minutes? Ask whoever looks after your site to clear the server cache.

### Good to know

The Separator module draws a horizontal line between pieces of content. You can set its colour, thickness, width and style, such as solid, dashed or dotted.

Extra spacing often does the same job more quietly. A page with lines between every section can feel chopped up, so save separators for places where you want a clear break between topics.
