# Starting The Page Builder | Website Manual

**Starting The Page Builder**

Beaver Builder lets you edit a page on the page itself, so you see the layout much as visitors will.

## Before you finish

Tick them off as you go.

**Not seeing your change?**

Your browser may be showing a copy it saved earlier. Open the page in a private window, or press Ctrl + F5 to reload it fresh (Cmd + Shift + R on a Mac).

If your site has a caching plugin, clear its cache too. There is usually a button for it in the bar along the top of the dashboard. Still the old version after a few minutes? Ask whoever looks after your site to clear the server cache.

### Good to know

Beaver Builder lets you edit a page on the page itself, so you see the layout much as visitors will. You open it from the page's edit screen, or from the bar along the top of the site while you are logged in.

Nothing you change goes live until you publish. When you finish, choose whether to publish, save a draft or discard your changes. Closing the tab without choosing can leave edits sitting in a draft that visitors never see.
