# Add Media From Media Library | Website Manual

**Add Media From Media Library**

Every image you upload to WordPress is kept in the Media Library, so a photo used on one page can go on another without uploading it again.

## Before you finish

**Not seeing your change?**

Your browser may be showing a copy it saved earlier. Open the page in a private window, or press Ctrl + F5 to reload it fresh (Cmd + Shift + R on a Mac).

If your site has a caching plugin, clear its cache too. There is usually a button for it in the bar along the top of the dashboard. Still the old version after a few minutes? Ask whoever looks after your site to clear the server cache.

### Good to know

Every image you upload to WordPress is kept in the Media Library, so a photo used on one page can go on another without uploading it again. Picking from the library keeps the site tidy and avoids several copies of the same file.

You can search the library by file name or title. Check that the alt text on the image you pick still suits the new page.
