# Edit Image | Website Manual

**Edit Image**

Once an image is on the page you can change how it appears without uploading it again: its size, alignment, alt text, caption and link.

## Before you finish

**Not seeing your change?**

Your browser may be showing a copy it saved earlier. Open the page in a private window, or press Ctrl + F5 to reload it fresh (Cmd + Shift + R on a Mac).

If your site has a caching plugin, clear its cache too. There is usually a button for it in the bar along the top of the dashboard. Still the old version after a few minutes? Ask whoever looks after your site to clear the server cache.

### Good to know

Once an image is on the page you can change how it appears without uploading it again: its size, alignment, alt text, caption and link. These settings are in the block toolbar and the settings sidebar.

The changes apply to that one use of the image, so the same picture can be set up differently on another page.
