# Featured Image | Website Manual

**Featured Image**

In this video we show you how to set a featured image on a page, save it and see it on the site.

**Not seeing your change?**

Your browser may be showing a copy it saved earlier. Open the page in a private window, or press Ctrl + F5 to reload it fresh (Cmd + Shift + R on a Mac).

If your site has a caching plugin, clear its cache too. There is usually a button for it in the bar along the top of the dashboard. Still the old version after a few minutes? Ask whoever looks after your site to clear the server cache.

### Good to know

A featured image represents a post or page in other places: blog listings, related post cards, and often the preview picture when someone shares the link on social media.

It is set in the post's settings sidebar, separately from the images inside the content. Whether it also shows at the top of the post depends on your theme.
