**Media Library**

The Media Library holds every image, PDF and other file uploaded to your site.

## Before you finish

**Not seeing your change?**

Your browser may be showing a copy it saved earlier. Open the page in a private window, or press Ctrl + F5 to reload it fresh (Cmd + Shift + R on a Mac).

If your site has a caching plugin, clear its cache too. There is usually a button for it in the bar along the top of the dashboard. Still the old version after a few minutes? Ask whoever looks after your site to clear the server cache.

### Good to know

The Media Library holds every image, PDF and other file uploaded to your site. Go there when you want to find a file, check its details or reuse something you have already uploaded.

Each file has its own alt text, title and caption fields that you can edit at any time. Deleting a file from the library breaks it on every page that uses it, so check where it appears before you delete anything.
