Not seeing your change?

Your browser may be showing a copy it saved earlier. Open the page in a private window, or press Ctrl + F5 to reload it fresh (Cmd + Shift + R on a Mac).

If your site has a caching plugin, clear its cache too. There is usually a button for it in the bar along the top of the dashboard. Still the old version after a few minutes? Ask whoever looks after your site to clear the server cache.

Good to know

Pages hold content that stays put, such as About, Services or Contact. Add one when your business needs a new permanent part of the site. A dated news item belongs in a post instead.

On most sites a new page doesn't appear in the menu by itself, so plan where people will find it. Check the web address WordPress makes from the title before you publish, since changing it later can break links.

You needed to change one thing. Now you are learning the editor again.

Your website should be handled. Not handed back to you.
